Avocado Hummus

Here’s a twist on your typical hummus…add avocado! I serve it with pita chips and fresh veggies.

Course Appetizer
Servings 2 cups


  • 1 medium avocado pitted & chopped
  • 1 cup garbanzo beans drained
  • 1/3 cup onions chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves sliced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin


  • Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Place in a bowl, cover and refrigerate for an hour.
